Difference between computer science and information technology in the field of study
Here I will show you how both are different and how similar. So let’s look at CSE first. In CS you will learn about the efficient programming of computers and maths algorithms. So basically you will look at a lot of computer machines and how can those machines we create are more efficient and how can mathematics algorithms be used to make them more efficient.
You will research into areas such as specialized design or IoT (internet of thing). IoT is nothing but the attraction between different machines, how can they interact and make out life easy. And you also learn about creative efficient data structure. So data analytics has become a very important field this day and thus creating an efficient data structure, databases are a part of computer science.
Now let’s look at the field of study for IT. In IT you will learn about the installation of internal networks. So a company will have its Owen network in which the employees can work. You will learn about those networks and how those networks are installed. You will also learn about the installation of hardware, such as computer systems and anything and everything related to infrastructures from an IT standpoint.
You will also learn about the installation and maintenance of databases. So basically CSE is about creating computers and anything related to computers. And IT is basically about the installation of those things and maintenance of these things.
CSE and IT both are similar but there is some difference. Programming is similar in both fields. Which programming languages do you learn in CSE same programming languages you will learn in IT.
There are lots of languages such as Java, SQL, html, CSS, Php, javascript, and much more than that are the same in CSSE and IT both.

CSE can become a web programmer. He/she can go into the computer programming research, can go into artificial intelligence, can work into improving microprocessor and circuit designing, also can go into robotics field and mostly these students go into software development as a software developer. Now even IT students can do that.
He/She can also go into the software development But they go into information security, can go into network architecture, database administrator, computer installation, and IT support. Software development is a part of both the CSE and It. Because it covers programming languages.
